Since 1973, we have been one the area's most prominent over-55 communities. With 261 sites set on a beautiful 50 park-like acres, Hampden Village offers a variety of houses to choose from, including both existing homes and custom new construction.
Hampden Village was started through the vision of founder John Glaze. A Westfield resident and business owner, John came up with the idea for the Village after vacationing in Florida and noticing the many retirement communities there. His idea was to provide a peaceful community setting for Westfield area seniors that was not too far from shopping, restaurants, and other amenities. He started with a handful of homes and the park grew to the “community within the community” that it is today.
When John passed away in 2014, his son, Jeffrey Glaze took ownership and began upgrades to the Village, which is now operated by John’s grandson, Justin Glaze. Justin is committed to continuing those upgrades and to providing Hampden Village's residents with a safe, fulfilling retirement experience.
